Took bike to dealer for oil filter recall it will be a couple days i was told , that was a week ago . Now wouldn't you know it would be 78 deg that week . Still waiting to get my bike back it is 39 deg now so i probly will hear from them soon. nothing to do now but whine and cry online :'( :' ( :'(
You could spend the time gathering up your cold weather riding gear so that when they call, you're ready. Just a thought.......
I know if I lived in canada I probly would be in shorts and a t-shirt at this temp . :)
Yeah, I think the cold makes them a little nutty......... ;D
You have a 2005 1500? Did you research the recall and what you need to do for future oil changes?

P.S. Don't worry, Chief; they'll call as soon as it there is at least 2" of snow on the street......hope this helps!!

normally no matter what the weather the smarter riders up here wear long pants and t-shirts, with boots, at 39*F we would be wearing a jacket perhaps.....and gloves too.....perhaps....
and FYI Canada is spelt with a capital "C" , if you are going to pick on us do it correctly...........
Just joking down here after it has been 0 deg for awhile 39 seems like a heat wave in spring but for now it is too cold for me to grovel at my dealer to give back my bike , they can keep it in the heated shop. Still yet to hear back from them , seemed like a simple recall. not sure on filter cheif they sold me a 1604 ??????? thought it was a 999????? sorry not sure on #'s . I asked service dept guy if that was the correct filter he says they are about all the same for the product line . i don't trust the parts dept not the first time with wrong parts . sad only my sec trip to this dealer .
Here's the recall info...

It was my understanding this installed some framework and a much different filter... but that may have changed since the original recall.
Sorry CANADA ( I hope still my freinds to the north ) did not realize I was picking on anybody. I am no good at grammar nor will I ever be . I will always do my best to screw up spelling and punctuation I hope u all will still love me anyway ......
you are still on my lottery winning list and have moved 49, and pcarrell down a few spots.......

Still friends, my man, we are thicker skinned than that up here, especially the Ratman; hide like an armadillo he has..... ;D

Well back on track got my bike back today the recall changes the head for oil filter on the block and now uses a catrige type filter that is how you will know if recall is done. Looks like I need to go back to dealer and return the spin on they sold me prior. that is the 2003 1500 recall
