Title: light bars
Post by: CDNRatMan on October 14, 2012, 20:54:34 PM
Just wondering if we have any 800 owners that have a really nice light bar. Wondering if they can take some decent pictures and give me the measurements so I can make my own and keep it close to OME or looking cool. Thanks.

Drifters come with a small lightbar of sorts.  I just drilled a couple of holes in my stock piece and mounted the lights.  The pics in this link don't seem to work anymore, but this is what I followed: http://www.vulcandrifterriders.com/lightbar.html (http://www.vulcandrifterriders.com/lightbar.html)

Picked up the lights for about $25 each.  They clear the headlight housing by about 1/4 of an inch.  It's a tight fit, but they've been on a few years and I've had no problems.

You end up with this......

I know about the light bar that is stock, but it just seems so small on the 800. I am going to have to take the time and remve it and check it out more over the winter.....yes the season I'll not be riding.....and I can come up with something I am sure over the next 6 months before I can ride again.....
