I don't know if this is where this belongs but i figured more people would see it here. Feel free to move it if you wish.
My high/low beam switch is shot. I took it apart and now it is really shot.
Can just the high/low switch be purchased or do I have to buy the entire workings of the left side like my dealer said. $177 worth.
Look at the parts drawings and see if you find the pieces you want.
buykawasaki.com or any of the oem parts vendors will have the parts diagram. I'd do it for you, but am travelling at the moment with limited internet access.
I ran into the same problem with my Harley; the brake switch broke in the handlebar mount, was a BIG dollar to purchase the entire assembly and harness, the only way it is available from a dealer. I scrounged around in my "junk" box, found an old switch assembly that had a good brake switch, and cut it out and soldered it into the harness on my bike. Kind of difficult to do due to small work area and big fingers, but I succeeded in spite of myself. If you can find a switch and are handy with a soldering iron, it should be a fairly simple fix. I did have a problem finding shrink tube small enough for the wires; had to go to an electronics shop for that.
Regards and such,

I have the assembly (my turn signals are kerflewi from a Kawasaki security system install years ago and I'd bought a new one to see if it helped; it didn't) and will mail it to you for $70,
Varooom
Thanks for the offer Vrooom. I will keep it in mind. As of now I came in the house and calmed down a little then went back to th garage. Cleaned up the contacts and got it back together. Works for now, will see how it goes. I don't usually take stuff apart I know nothing about but for $177 :o I thought I would give it a shot. ;)
