Title: Harley shocks on Drifter
Post by: rawv on September 14, 2012, 18:35:42 PM
I bought a set of Harley air shocks to replace the stock ones on my 1500.. I know I've seen it posted before where somebody switched them out but after trying I found the bushings on the Harley shocks are smaller ..So my question is did you get differant bushings or can they be pressed out of the stock shocks and used.

On my Progressive 440's I got several different size bushings which allows them to be used on different bikes. I think others have saved the bushings from the Drifter shocks and used them on the harley shocks. You might have to get some  SS washers and grind them down to use as spacers as well.

I saw a post on here awhile back so I thought I would try them also ..I bought a 13" set that were almost new on Ebay for $50 and free shipping I couldnt pass it up ..The only thing Ive found is the bushings will have to be pressed and switched out and installed a large washer to keep it from slipping off.

I'll post a pic when I get them on but I think I'll do it when the weather changes along with the other things I want to do to it.
