Title: Reduced Exhaust Noise for V&H
Post by: hawkfan on September 02, 2012, 12:14:02 PM
For all the riders whom have neighbors that we like, I came up with a sollution to quiet down my V&H longshots.  I ordered a pair of Cobra BLV9015Q baffles.  I had to cut about an inch off the baffle end (facing back of bike) with the steel tab for the screw.  I had to cut out the tab and tack weld it back into the new baffle exhaust end.  This assures that the bullet end of the baffle doesnt rest all the way into the header pipe which would cause danderous back pressure.
It cut the noise I'd say by about 40%.  It still has that great sound though.  Also, I don't feel any change in performance.
