I don't believe I have seen this anywhere. But I would like to put one on mine And maybe even hard bags shaped like the rear fender? Anyone else bat this idea around?
Well I keep forgetting I can search the VDR site now, So I see someone has worked this a bit. Oddly enough his name was Chuck also.. What is it with us Chucks?
Yeah, there are a couple of sources for bat wing fairings that will fit. A few folks have adapted harley bat wings onto their's as well. Look over on the web site, there is info there as well... both the Accessories area and the mods/tips area.
As usual you have saved me many dollars. I found an old shovelhead fairing on Ebay. Shipped and en route for less than 72.00. Many thanks!
i saw this photo on the Drifter Yahoo site of a set of hard bags that apear to be styled exactly like the stock rear fender. Not sure if this was the real thing of a photoshop job but they look darn good.
;) Now that I like it does not hide the classic lines of the fenders which is want attracted me to the bike. Just love the lines of the fenders.
That is definately what I would like to see on mine. Nice find Jimbo.... Maybe I should search for hard bags for an Indian, I wish I could find the source of that pic get ahold of that Drifter owner? I did get an old batwing fairing on eBay for 60 bucks shipped. I am going to have to fashion some mounting hardware, but for a fiberglass fairing 60 was a good price for me.
I too love the look of those hard bags. I would pop for a set for sure!!

You might be right in that they might be Photoshop job after looking closer. But I really like the look. I too would have to save my change for a set of those.
I remember seeing a 2000 Gilroy Indian Chief in thurqoise and cream and it had a pair of hard bags that looked just like these. Unfortunatly that was back around 2001 and long before I purchased my Drifter. I think those are real and not photoshoped.
