I installed my Scootworks Phatrisers this weekend and it generally went pretty well. But now the problem - I specifically ordered these because I wouldn't have to replace any cables and I needed to bring the bar forward a little (my stock risers we're causing shoulder pain when I rode) of course Murphy's law kicked in and the throttle cables are pretty tight at full left, I removed the seat and unbolted the gas tank to try and find some slack to pull up but no luck. My question is, short of just getting the longer cables is there anything else I can do to get another inch of slack?
Thanks
Terry
Mine are tight but never have caused me a problem.
Thanks Chief. That's one of the things I'm unclear on is how tight is too tight, an extra inch or two is all I would need to get back to how the cables sat with the stock risers. I took the bike out for a 30 mile ride and didn't have any issues, but would hate to have the throttle cable go on a long run...
I did have to move the cable around a bit... removed the clip in front of the tank. But again... after 10000 miles no problems with the cable.
I have the same riser. and like Chief had to move the cables a little . but no problems have about 11,000 miles with them.

Thanks aclone, it looks like your cables run a different path than mine, did you reroute them or did they come that way.
I've attached are 2 pics to show the path and the tension on the wires
thanks, I appreciate the help
Terry
Mine run between upper and lower fork bridge, yours looks like it goes over the top. I did reroute mine.
