Title: Fenders
Post by: theylive on August 28, 2010, 19:12:42 PM
Are the fenders made of fiberglass or plastic? I had thought they were made of plastic like everything else on the bike, but I've got a scratch and it looks like fiberglass... If it is fiberglass, I would guess it's an epoxy (stronger than polyester), and has anyone painted there own fenders... thanks!

I've not painted, but I have drilled three holes in the front fender for my Indian head light. I know the my front fender is plastic by the way the drill bit worked. photos to follow on the Indian head light.

They are made of plastic , like car bumpers  but harder.  When I removed the tail light the guy that did the body work took number from the inside of the fender. He said they tell him which kit to order so the fill is the same as the fender.
