Hi all - sorry for the newbie question. I have been riding for over 30 years and am just about to get a Drifter 800. It's a 2004 in excellent shape. Has a windshield on it and a Corbin 2-up seat, leather with fringe. Bike has 3,900 miles on it and the seller wants $4,000. That seems very reasonable to me, but I was wondering what people on the forum thought. It is kind of over the NADA.com price, but does the rarity of these bikes add a premium to them, especially when they are so well cared for? Thanks and forgive me if this is an oft-asked question. I rode the bike yesterday and it enjoyed it more than any cruiser in its class that I have tried. It is just so well engineered and rides beautifully. I was not sure how I would feel about the Corbin seat, but it is amazing! Thanks again,
It all depends upon the condition and what you are willing to pay. These bikes are getting more and more difficult to find. They aren't to the point where they are so rare as to increase the value tremendously. If the bike is in the condition you indicate, and with the corbin, I think it is a fair price.

Thanks - it seems excellent in body work and in mechanical condition. Runs beautifully, too.
take into account that corbin seat. i f you get a drifter that is only set up for one rider it could cost you well over $1000 to got the seat, pegs, and any other hardware. if you like the rest of the bike, i think the 2 up seat is a huge benefit. $4000 sounds pretty good to me.
That sounds like an excellent price..Low miles plus a Corbin dual seat! Can't go wrong in my opinion ....KEN.
"Book" price is for average condition for the year, and average mileage, and doesn't include extras.
Sounds like a good price; if you like it, buy it. Just remember; "He who hesitates, is lost........" LOL
