Title: Dual seat for Drifter 800
Post by: Renoman on August 22, 2010, 12:55:11 PM
Hi Fellow Drifters. I have a dilemma here in Reno NV. I have a 2004 Drifter 800 with a solo seat & I'm looking for a BLACK dual seat with all the hardware need it. I love my drifter & I don't want to sell it but I can't find the right information on the dual seat & hardware. I spent hours in the net trying to find facts but not luck so far. Any help or directions will be much appreciated.

Keep you eye on ebay as they pop up occasionally

For aftermarket Corbin has this: http://www.corbin.com/kawasaki/kd800dt.shtml

I have the Corbin and it's great plus direct bolt on ... but pricey ...

Thanks Jamman, I saw it & YES it is pricey. I think it comes only in that color & not in black. Thanks

Corbins come in ANY color, but the stock is black. Look in the classifieds on the website and monitor ebay. One thing to remember, with the Corbin you don't need to buy anything else to use it (other than footpegs). The seat for the 800 has an integral frame.

Hello Renoman.
I have the complete setup as removed from my 2003 800.
The whole setup including the sissy bar, grab bars, saddle bag mounts, seat, etc.
I purchased a solo seat (just the solo cost me $300 plus shipping from Ebay).

I need help setting a price. I don't want to stick a Drifter brother but I don't want to take a loss on it either.
I guess I'll leave it to you. Give me your best offer including shipping from Georgetown, Texas 78633.

If you want, I can send you detailed pictures of every piece along with a detailed description.

The reason I'm unsure is the simple fact that I thought it might make resale of my Drifter (when that time comes) much easier if I could offer a buyer both seat setups.
If you are interested, just let me know.
