I like the Memphis Shades windshields with the coloured bottom section, but I've got a National Cycle which is in great condition. I want to go red but I doubt regular window tint would work for long. I'm thinking of the material they use in vehicle "wraps". Anyone have any suggestions?
There are spray paints you can use. I've seen testor's used (you paint the inside)... also at auto parts places there are tinting sprays available like Nite Shades brand, etc.
Chief you beat me to it. I used Nite Shades to tint my lower section of windshield. I did it in red and it looks terrific. I highly recomend this if you want a cheap and effective look. Then I used chrome trim all around the windshield.

There is a taillight paint used as well; does a beautiful job, (paint the inside of the windshield) but like any paint is subject to scratching. It should be available in auto-parts stores in the Good Ol'e U.S. of A like Checker or Napa.

I tried the the red Nightshades spray and the end result was terrible. I followed the instructions but the first coats seem to go on dry. The following coats seemed mottled and after drying for about 45 min I took off the masking paper hoping it looked better from the other side and I just groaned. I grabbed some varsol and soaked a rag and wiped it off quickly. Except for my garage floor and the rags looking like a murder scene the windsheild was clear again. Hey MarshallDol did yours come out even coloured? I'm a pretty decent painter but I certainly screwed this up. I'm not done trying the colour route and may try the spray again now that I know its not permanent. Any suggestions on the spraying technique ??
Mine came out fine the second time around. I didn't like it the first time either. Second time I did it with very light even coats and gave each coat 45 minutes to dry. After the 4th coat it was done and was great. If you send me your email address I will send you a picture of mine.
