Title: Rear Fender
Post by: plevine1 on August 01, 2010, 15:15:26 PM
Recently bought my long sought after 99 Drifter. The bike was well taken care of with the exception of some marks on the rear fender. Some is due to what I would guess a bag rubbing on the paint. The other is...... no idea.

Repaint isnt in the budget. Anyone have any suggestions. I did my best using hand compound but there was no really change.

Thanks

I've got the same problem where my bags chaffed through the paint.  Unfortunately the fiberglass isn't the same color.  I've left the bags on so that it's not noticeable unless you lift them away from the area in question.
I'll repaint the whole thing after I hit 100,000 miles as a present to the bike's perfection!  The drifter blue has my attention.

The more scars, the more it seems to look like a vintage Indian!  Check out Georgia O'Keefe on an Indian heading out into the Santa Fe desert.
