So if you couldn't tell I'm fairly new. I got my liscence in March hadn't really gone anywhere except like 30 minutes away and around a small lake in the DFW area. Yesterday me, my girlfriend and her dad rode from rual DFW down to Glen Rose/Dinosaur Valley. There and back was about a 3.5-4 hour ride. Good times, it showed me there's some things I need to do to make the bike more comfortable, possibly some pullbacks, (any suggestions?) definately a back rest, and an intercom system. (see my post in the electronics section) However, it was a great time. Rained on us a couple of times so we had to stop which is why we had a 3.5 hour mark. On our way there we took our time. Of course, I ran into my first interaction with jerks on the road. "Lane Ends Merge Left" so we did and a Ford Escape decided to take our following the law as an opportunity to rush ahead of me and get in between us. I have an air horn but decided against using it since it wasn't really unsafe, just more rude than anything else. Jack-wagon. Anywho, thought I'd let y'all know about my day! Thanks!
Chris
You took the wise action when confronted with an aggressive driver: get out of their way and don't antagonize them in any way. You never know when an enraged drunk will pass and your horn or other signaling might incur deeper problems.
