Title: Head Light??
Post by: Fancy on May 24, 2012, 10:32:02 AM
The other night when hubby were taking a evening ride...first one since I got the bike. He told me the headlight wobbled and almost looked like a strobe light. I checked all the hardware and all is tight but it seems the light not the case can move a bit. I think that is normal but I was wondering if I should stabilize it some how so it wouldn't effect the other drivers on the road??

Four bolts hold the casing to the bracket, two bolts hold the bracket to the lower triple clamp...yeah, they wiggle a bit...makes you more visible to the sleepers in the cars...think of it as a free, built in headlight modulator!

LOL I will let hubby know he wanted to put a small piece of rubber or felt or something between the light and the light case so it doesnt wobble.

Just make sure the two big nuts, underneath the lower tree are tight... some of the windshield mounts go under the headlight, and are sandwiched between the tree and the mount bracket...When I bought my Drifter, the bolts were loose, as was lots of other stuff....
