Switch on clutch lever, kill switch, start switch contacts... I'd check all of those.

Check that neutral switch as well; make sure it is working properly. Kick-stand switch? Tip over switch under seat? If you removed the battery, the switch could be in the wrong position. Some  things to eliminate, if nothing else.

Good luck, let us know what you find; maybe someone else could benefit from what you find.

Regards and such,

P.S. I had starting problems this spring; bike flooded, back-fired, would not go. I pulled the plugs, let the cylinders dry out, put the plugs back in. Bike fired right up. I contribute this to running the bike too close to empty; might have picked something up and stuck the injectors.

Make sure your connections to your throttle body are all connected and the plug to your tank as well. When I had my tank off for painting and to  put power commander on. The connection to the tank was a mother to get connected good.  and the two plug near the front of the tank.  GOD I hate electrical wiring.

Good luck

Check to be sure the clutch switch connector on the lower front of the lever perch is connected.
