Welp, installed a Harley Davidson Road King switch from scratch....no kit. Not easy trying to make and grind templates out of stainless but it was still fun. Just a warning any body who wants to do this to their 800....put the resistor by itself on a wire...use a three prong....jussayin'..

Good idea. Thunder Mfg. actually has the wiring diagram INSTRUCTIONS on their website though they do not offer the kit any longer for the 800 and have only a few left for the 1500. Make a template first out of aluminum, that saved the hassle of cutting through multiple pieces of stainless and UNPLUG the red connector like it says. Any other questions...feel free to ask!!!! Me and my grandfather are currently cutting and custom making a seat bracket for a harley road king sundowner two-up seat. Hopefully he doesn't get too far before I can take photos!!! (can ya tell what type of bike my gpa has????)
I have mounted it with myself and it was very easy. No holes bored, only the orginal screws against 6 mm LED `S. exchanged.
Work one hour. But care, the LED `S. must be equipped with diodes. ;D

Reiner, your the one who had or has the friend who made a similar kit to the Thunder Mfg. in Germany right? That looked great! On mine we did all the plate cutting and welding and fitting of the switch I bought off ebay, resistors from Radio Shack, and spare stainless we always have laying around. Tough to do for sure....but cost well less than any kit ever will!!!
