Title: Cross-breed 2-up seat
Post by: greenbarn on March 18, 2012, 20:14:12 PM
My new (2002) 800 has the stock solo seat.  The seat is one of the few upgrades I'm thinking of making down the road, maybe this summer, but maybe a winter project.   I could put on a Corbin 2-up Drifter seat - if I can find one (forgot to mention, I rarely pay new prices for stuff I can buy used or make).  I noticed several harley seats on E-bay and wondered how hard it is to fab brackets to fit a harley seat over on a 800 drifter??  Anybody done one?  Are many of the harley seats the same?  The one I'm currently looking at is off a Electra glide.  Someone once said a lot of the harley frames are the same...

Are there other bikes that the seat would be easy-(ier) to fit on an 800, where a good custom aftermarket seat is made (e.g. corbin, mustang).

Or am I just better off waiting to find that specific 800 seat?
Thanks.

Hi, Greenbarn; check under "For Sale" eBay sales; I posted the item # on eBay for a 2-up heated seat for an 800.

Regards and such,
