Title: Scootworks drivers sissybsr backrest
Post by: MapMan on March 18, 2012, 17:12:27 PM
ScootWorks has listed on their site mounting brackets/sissybar combo for Drifter 800....YES. Now the million dollar question is will it also fit around the stock 2-up seat? I realize its a relatively new product, but if anyone knows or has a comment, I'd like to hear it before I send in my order.

Peace.

No it will not. I just got mine in the mail yesterday after specifically asking on the phone "will this fit on my 2 up double seat" and they told me it would. Works great for the solo though. Would love to find a drivers backrest for the double seat !

The guys at scootworks are fantastic to deal with though. Here is a couple pictures of the installed brackets on my bike. I left the double seat frame on to show the fit. The adapters run on the inside of the double frame, which obviously leaves the seat too wide. Just recently got an email back from them and they said it would fit around two-up seat also, but I guess not. Thanks for the info before I ordered one.

Can someone post the part number or link?  Having trouble locating it.  How about a photo of it installed on an 800 solo seat?

The backrest isn't actually installed on the seat. It attaches to brackets that you have to install on the saddlebag mounts.
