Title: Knoxville Tenn. 1500 Drifter Owner Needed
Post by: rawv on January 03, 2012, 20:00:01 PM
I just spoke to Alex today from Reckless Motorcycles just outside Knoxville ..I asked him if they had a fairing to fit a 1500 Drifter and he said they have never been able find a Drifter to use as a model.. I told him about this site and that I believe there would others here who may be interested in purchasing a fairing from them..Alex told me if someone lives near him and would want to let them keep the bike for about a week to use as a model and make the brackets to fit the Drifter..anyhow if you would be willing they will give you a   "FREE FAIRING" minus the stereo a $350 fairing just to let them use your bike as a model... think about it you would also be helping out others here who want a fairing for there Drifter ... I wish I lived closer I'd jump on it but  I live in Toledo Ohio thats why I thought I'd post it here to see if anyone locally would be interested..Let me know and I can tell you more.         Thanks ,     Rick

Hey Chief.. I keep thinking the Nomad and Drifter both have the same  frontend and OEM windshield brackets ..since Reckless  has a fairing to fit the Nomad 1500 we might already have something that fits is their any way that can be checked out.    Rick

We have a parts cross-reference with some info about interchangeable parts.  http://www.vulcandrifterriders.com/vcross.html (http://www.vulcandrifterriders.com/vcross.html)

The Drifter front-end is the same as the CLASSIC, the Nomad is about 1" wider based upon the work done by others.
