Title: Seat options
Post by: La Douche on December 18, 2011, 07:11:04 AM
I have a 99 drifter 1500,

I am looking for the lowest possible setting seat and i really dont want anything with tassles/conches

I would prefer something that is a direct bolt on but i've had no luck searching,

if bolt on is not possible does anyone have a good link to an easy bolt on/install small single springer seat

Love my bike i just wanna set down in it not on it

I think Mustang or Corbin seats if I'm not mistaken will make anything up for you .. I found a stock solo seat and it rides pretty low the fringe is attached with velcro and comes off but it does have two plain conchos .. the oem solo seats are kinda hard to find but they are on here and Ebay once in awhile.

Mustang doesn't make our seats anymore. I would suggest you look at the link below. There are  no direct bolt on springers... you will need to do customization for that.

have you thought about having the seat trimmed down. I just had my 2-up seat redone. I added found a guy here in Oregon that customizes seats. He added two inches of memory foam to the passenger seat then sloped it for my wife's comfort, This in turn gave me better support at my lower back. I didn't have my seat changed I like it hard for longer rides.
This was cheaper than buying a new seat.

if i had a solo seat already id send it up to meancity cycles and have it done, but the 2up seat isnt the look i want for the bike at all
