CHICAGO (AP) — Drew Peterson isn't just in jail waiting to stand trial for murder. He's also on eBay trying to sell his motorcycle.

The former suburban Chicago police officer who is accused in the 2004 slaying of his 3rd wife, Kathleen Savio, is, through his attorneys, trying to sell his 2007 Harley-Davidson Springer Softail.

In the ad that includes a photograph of him sitting on the motorcycle, Peterson is asking for $50,100.

By Wednesday afternoon, the ad had been viewed more than 3,300 times and there'd even been a bid of $50,000. Peterson's attorney Joel Brodsky says he's confident if that's the only bid, Peterson would seriously consider it.

Brodsky says Peterson decided to sell the motorcycle because he figures he won't be able to ride it at least until his trial is over.

Whoever offered $50k for this POS should be standing trial with this guy. It is beyond me why anyone would pay this price for a  bike simply because it belongs to a suspected murderer.

So, two immediate thoughts...

1) The bidder is an idiot.

2) The bidder is an idiot... again.

Same line of thinking, if you remember back when John Wayne Gacy started painting while in prison and his stuff was at auction in the $ 9000 range. They promoted it by saying ' the hands that painted these pictures killed 33 boys' . Sad, and more pathetic to think that someone would want to own this sh*t.

I'd pay 50,000 then sit his ass on it and torch it, bring on the marshmallows ;D. Friggin attorneys anyway. Bet he the one selling the bike. Took it in on payment. Cops like him give cops that care a bad rap.

Justice would be the attorney gets stuck with the bike that is worth no more than 5,000 and the cop get life in Segregation.
