I get free roadside assistance from American Motorcycle Association as I have them renew my membership automaticly each year. I have used it and it is higly reccomended.
Just my opinion but if a person rides a motorcycle they should belong to the AMA.
If they own a firearm they should be a member of the National Rifle association.
I'm just saying................

I used my AAA towing on my wife's trike just last year. It was a 45 mile tow and cost us zip, bupkis. nada, nichts, nothing, zero. No hassles. They arrived in just under an hour and everything went smoothly. Plus many thanks to Motorcycle Acsessories in Grand Junction, co for a timely repair of a broken thottle cable to get us back on the road.

I bought the AAA motorcycle option and went cruising in the Catskill Mountains of New York State.  Woke up to a dead battery and they wouldn't even send any help at all.  They offered to reimburse me for a jump or tow if I arranged it all and paid for it up front.  USELESS WASTE OF MONEY UNLESS YOU'RE IN A METROPOLITAN AREA.

I called AAA, it's an additional $30.00 per year if you want to add motorcycle towing to youe automotive AAA.

Who else has AAA motorcycle towing.

Been AAA member since 1992, for me, well worth the peace of mind. unfortunately they do not do motorcycles in Mass. I use MTS (www.mts-towing.com)for the bike, I used it twice, once for a buds bike, once for my own.had to pay up front, then got reimbursed, worked out well.

Peace

AAA sold me the upgrade and then refunded it after they refused to come jump my bike 23 miles from Kingston, NY, a major city in New York.  I joined the AMA and carry the card.
Thanks for the advice.

I had the opportunity to use the towing/roadside assistance offered by my insurance company last week.

I had a flat on the rear - about 100 miles west of my home. I started feeling the problem about 2 miles from a small town and managed to get us to a small country convenience store in Watertown.

We called the number provided by Safeco and within 45 minutes we had a tow to the nearest dealership... about 25 miles away. They called us 3 times telling us what was going on and checking on our status. The tow cost us nothing... new tire cost $300!

So, if you have your insurance with Safeco you are set.
