"Eighty percent of fatal motorcycle collisions are now the fault of the rider," said State Patrol Chief John R. Batiste.
"Half of fatal collisions don't even involve a second vehicle," he notes.
I find these "statistics" highly suspect. According to recent stats Washington had 69 motorcycle fatalities, 1/3rd involved drugs, 1/3 involved alcohol, 63% involved "speed"... this includes bikers and cagers. I will have to research the single vehicle crash rate statement.
Again, folks can torture stats to say what they want.
