ummm... I would've thought other model vulcan parts would work with this... some research is needed I guess.

What year model 1500?

If the part is # 49033-1057 - that part is still an active Kaw part and its used in all 1500/1600 vulcans... nomad, classic, mean streak, drifter... 2000 and later.

The 1999 had an injector pn 49033-1055 - which was subsequently canceled - no indication it was superseded...
Every other year uses the 49033-1057. So I guess the question is will the injectors from 2000 and later work in the 1999??

well, its been 7 months and i still have not been able to locate a fuel injector for my 99 drifter 1500.does anyone know if it is economically possible to put a carb setup from a regular vulcan on the drifter?
no one seems to have an injector new or used.

Sooo... you are saying the part number I gave you isn't available anymore? Considering its for a number of models that would be of interest. OR... was that not the number you needed??

I recently needed a pair of 92161-1086 DAMPER,INJECTION NOZZLE for my 1999 but they are obsolete so I bought 2 of 92161-1083 DAMPER,INJECTION NOZZLE (which are for  2000 - 2005 Drifters). Here are some pic's showing both side to side and stacked, They are not that that different at all.
When I can get a used injector for a 2000 - 2005 I'll compare that.

I found out the injectors for 1999 - 2004 Drifters and 2000 - 2008 Classics are an INP-786 even though it has different part numbers.
