thanks going to check that out today ....good winter project.
See http://www.vulcandrifterriders.com/forum/index.php?topic=3993.0
It mentions a a Progressive 465 series rear shock
I am not positive, but I thought Progressive made something for the rear shock. I put in their fork springs, and they are far and away better than stock. You might want to check their website or call their customer service dept.
Seems like I saw something on this forum before about it, or maybe it was somewhere else.
I may try the preload but would really like to buy a new harder spring on the long run, anybody know a place where to look for?
Thanks
Don't have one but here are the install instructions
http://www.scootworks.com/scootworks/docs/vulcan_preload.pdf
Anyone using it now? If so how is it and how hard to install?
Scootworks has a shock pre-load kit.
At $44.95 it may be worth a try.
Ok, let's start withe the obvious....I'm not skinny at 275lbs. And my rear suspension even at 7 is pretty soft. I'm also a newbie in moto mechanics. Is it possible to get a stronger spring for the shock or do I have to buy a complete shock at 450$?
Thanks
