The rectifier is that thing that looks like a heat sink on the lower left side of the bike, in front of the rear tire. The wiring runs inside the engine cover just in front of it. On a '99 it might be run in a different way since you don'r have the chrome engine cover. The rectifier is in the same spot though. I've highlighted it in this pic........

dear chief thanks for your reply but i dont know the rectifier....you mean regulator or what?...sorry i'm not repairman..i'm just a doctor my big bro...please help me this conversation....all my respect to dear chief...

Sounds like the charging system is out, or maybe you have a dead short thats draining the battery once it's shut down.

HELP....hear me all bros...my old lady 99-1500 drifter doesnt work after engine is stopped...then battery emptied...i bought new battery 2 mounths ago...i live with this problem since i bought my drifter...maybe my charging system failed..i dont know...please help me...what i have to done for this problem...[ /b]
