Thank you for the advise. I think I will use the Mobil 1 motorcycle oil (10W-40). It is available locally.  I repair antique clocks and many of us use Mobil 1 to lubricate clock movements because of it's excellent qualities. We used to buy the expensive clock oils that were sold by the ounce where a quart of Mobil 1 will last for years. Thanks again, Mike

I like and always used Mob 1 Full Sys Ext Peformance for my cars and truck
And
Used Mobile 1 Mororcycle Full Syntheic 4t it's made for all motorcycle with wet clutches and for the Drifter 800 I  use 10w-40w.   Just make sure if buying a different brand your buying motorcycle oil for wet clutches.  Here a picture of it.  I can buy it at Advanced Auto Parts if you have those.

I have been using the Kawasaki S4 with really good results. I tried a few different oils and was not happy but this seems to be doing the trick.

Just make sure it's safe for wet clutches and has no friction modifiers.  Your clutch will slip like crazy if it has friction modifiers.

Mobil One makes a synthetic motorcycle oil especially for wet clutches.  I've used it and it's good stuff, but it ain't cheap!  https://mobiloil.com/en/motor-oils/mobil-1/mobil-1-v-twin-motorcycle-oil

I don't know what the PO used for engine oil but I use Mobil One synthetic in my other vehicles. Does anyone have any opinions on Mobil One in my Drifter 800? I am planning on changing the oil/filter so it will be ready for spring. Appreciate your advise, Mike
