I'll be interested in the answer, I am half thinking of removing the baffles on my longshots but the old girl is running as sweet as a nut and the other half of me doesn't want to mess that up. Besides with all the speed cameras we have here finding a safe road to do that top speed again to see if it is better without the baffles could cost me my license.

Ahh of course why didn't I think of that.....I'LL make a sound check to morron. .. don't think The neighburs Will appreciate a lot of rewing at 2045 at eveninf
I've got V&H Longshots, but no smart phone.
I see what you're saying. I do not have long shots, so can't help you out there.
I did notice, however, that there are db meter apps for smart phones available. If you or someone you know has a smart phone, that might work for you.
I have dB killers I can dit. .but wondered If any one got a dB readig so I perhaps can skip The change
That's kind of what I was thinking....
Just to get through a test once a year why not get a bit of thin 1/2" chicken wire and a bit of fibre glass mat and roll it like a swiss roll, stuff it up the pipe until after the test then hook it out with a thin wire coat hanger until next year.

I don't know how much help this will be, but it lists some similar pipes from V&H, along with ways to quiet them further if you happen to not pass. http://www.gadgetjq.com/vhbagger_shhh.htm
They put a dB meter behind and rew The enginge at no point can it pass 103 dB. I have stock baffles in them IE stock log shots baffles
Definitely quieter with the baffles in. What do they do for the testing?

Hi. Anyone here made a measurement of the db levels whilst having longshots on them? I'm in for the MoT next week and hoping theyll pass under 103Db
