I met Matt and Kevin at Fatty's and they had nothing but good things to say about you! They are really nice guys and I look forward to having them work on my bike and supporting their business. I talked to them about tires, told them I wanted some with the big whitewalls, and Matt recommended some that he said they put on your Drifter. I wanted to find out if you were happy with the tires and if you have any pictures. If you do you can post them here or send them to brillo7208@comcast.net
Thanks,
Brillo (David)
My mistake, Fatty's gives a 15% discount on accessories and apparel. I'm heading over there today before they close to check the place out.
Quote from: pcarrell on December 09, 2010, 18:08:38 PMThat would be great! I was planning to go check that place out in hopes it would be a good place to get work done. I would like to start with a new set of tires. I am a member of the IMG (Indianapolis Motorcyclist Group) and Fatty's is one of our sponsors. They extend a 20% discount on parts to our members. Tell me about your Drifter, year, color, how long you've had it etc.Brillo, I'm going to have to introduce you to Matt & Kevin over at Fatty's Cycle in Fortville. Two great guys who know their way around a Drifter. Ron Ayers is great too, but sometimes a little "hands on" touch is good too, ya know?

Ordered a spring from Ron Ayers yesterday. Once it comes, no more bungee cord to hold my kickstand up :-)
Quote from: brillo72 on November 27, 2010, 12:39:18 PMMy pleasure, I use ronayers for looking (I've never bought anything from them but they have breakdowns of a lot of different bikes). Thanks Duffy, that was exactly what I needed!
You can use buykawasaki.com as well... under accessories.

Go to RonAyers.com.(http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm/Module/Main/TypeID/26/Type/Motorcycle/MakeID/3/Make/Kawasaki/YearID/42/Year/2001/ModelID/2933/Model/Vulcan_1500_Drifter/GroupID/70561/Group/Stand%28s%29) They have parts breakdowns that will show the entire bike. This link is for a 2002 1500.
I'm hoping someone out there can help me. I just bought my Drifter this week and while wrestling it out of the truck (went out of state to pick it up) the kickstand got caught on the ramp and the spring or whatever provides the tension is gone. I have looked and looked and cannot find it. I assume I am looking for a spring. Does anyone have a picture (not likely) or could someone take a picture of their kickstand so I can see exactly what it looks like? Does anyone know where I can get an exact replacement? Thanks for your help!
