Scotland made me understand the term "chilled to the bone"... its the damp. We just got back from the frozen wastes of southern Michigan... 0 F and snow.... wind chills in the negative numbers. It's 23 here in TN... cold for us... but balmy compared to Michigan.
We have a couple of rooms where the central heating doesn't go... so we get a cold draft here in the office. I've fixed that with electric heaters... keeps those spaces warm and helps with the drafts here. Now the only drafts we get is at the pub!I don't know what the temperature is outside, but it has snowed, rained and snowed and rained again and now the ice has settled over the roofs, tomorrow their will probably be foot long icicles hanging from the gutters.. unless the gale force winds blow them down.
I really don't like this weather..
I have had the central heating on full power all day, I have electric fires in some of the rooms as well and I am still freezing, sitting here with a hot water bottle..
I'm thinking of getting one of those space heaters for the cellar, maybe I should have bought a small house instead of this place..
John.
