I did marble the bike after I had a few popping sounds when I would ease off the throttle. Most of the people I ride with love the look of the bike but say it's just to quiet.

The bike breaths better, and you likely will not need to add an add-on FI box. You don't need the EPA stuff either though many folks have done that at the same time.

Might have to disable the reed valves or just "marble" the engine if you get popping.

Blame it on California, I believe. They have a catalytic converter inside it. And all the rest of us pay for an empty box. Bad go - Kawasaki !!
Why is that thing on our bikes?
Thanks Snake. Yep simply registering helps build the community. Being a lurker/guest for a short period to see if the forum is something you want to participate in is fine. But at some point you need to participate to help keep the forum moving.
Cheers! Thanks chief; I bought my Drifter 3 years ago and discovered this web-site about 1.5 years ago. I think it's a awesome place to talk about Drifter stuff. I'm glad I finally did the right thing and register. Thanks again.
No, may help. Usually those who do this do NOT need an add-on Fi box like the Cobra, PCIII etc.
I have a 2001 1500 Drifter with no mods added; I seen on you tube a 1500 drifter with the goat bladder removed. If I remove this and make a exhaust pipe to replace it, will it cause any problems with engine performance?
