Greenbarn that's an excellent idea ! I'll map out what covered bridges are in the surrounding area and make a day trip of riding next season . I'll get ventoracing involved as well . That would make for a great day !
Quote from: Drift1 on October 26, 2013, 17:43:33 PMSounds like bologna to me hahahaha . Nope Greenbarn it was definitely Bake I'm thinking of . It's actually on page 2 of introductions . First page of my intro . My computer literate ass can't get the picture to transfer here
if someone would be so kind to do so for me
I'm also a fan of covered bridges , but unfortunately we have none around here . Believe the closest one is about 45 minutes north of here .
Now I remember seeing that before. Went back to your intro post again - man, that's like a Who's Who entry - There's almost as many drifter pics in that post as there are in the Gallery...
That was a good bridge pic....
If there are more than 1 bridge up there by you - it would be worth mapping them out and making a nice little ride out of it, D1. I like covered bridges.
I felt in love with mine since the first time i saw her inside the local kawa dealer: I still remember I was drivin' with my car and (I don't know why, maybe a sign from heaven) my eyes turned over that showcase and BOOOM! I saw that WONDERFUL and COOL retro-styled bike, so I just stopped my car in the middle of the Street (fortunately, none was behind me...) than parked it and in a hurry I was inside the store to get a closer lookin' at her (and I was droolin' like a wolf on his sheep
). A week later I went for my first Drifter ride and so I felt much more in love with her, because of her smooth cornering (and the glittering of her floorboards on the asphalt...
).
Now it's 14 years since that and I'm still in love with my baby, just like the first day
I am going to get aiden to teach you to count.....page one of your intro......lol......

While you're in Waldo, go about 10 miles North on 57 to Road America...OOOppps, wrong Waldo
That sounds like a good deal....I'm in.....
I haven't heard from Pete lately. Talked to BoaSki the other day, though. Might get together in a week or so for a Drifter Rider's not-riding-cause-it's-too-cold breakfast or cup of coffee or something.
Ratman, when you come, I'd be glad to do the bridge tour for you. I put together a ride this summer, I think it's about 80 miles, with about 8 (if I remember) scenic covered bridges, and some pretty nice Ohio Scenery (for this part of the state), including River Road, along the Scenic Scioto River. If you want, we'll extend it far enough to stop by the G & R Tavern in Waldo for a World-Famous Bologna sandwich.
your going to show me them there bridges once I come to 0hi0 right, or is petemoss the tour guide.......were is that boy lately?

Quote from: Drift1 on October 25, 2013, 16:02:50 PMThat is a nice pic and bike by the way . Doesn't Bake have a similar pic with the covered bridge ? Wonder if this is the same place
Perhaps you were thinking of my pics from this summer. They were from Ohio.
