A couple of years ago I saw a black out bike that had been repainted black in a for sale ad. It had a menacing, Darth Vader-like quality to it.
I just found another for sale in the UK. It's got some goofy looking home made rack on the back, but it should give you an idea of what your project might come out like: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kawasaki-Drifter-1500-LOW-MILEAGE-/121193004198?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item1c37aa7ca6
Dakuhosu;
I love the look of your bike.... if I ever decide to repaint my bike I'm definitely going to go with a Tan or Olive green type theme...
Incredible looking bike as it is but blacked out forks would make it even better. My bike is largely de-chromed. I think it adds a more vintage look.

Mike; I have a 99 Sunbeam red and it is blacked out, I think you still need some chrome, and I am not a chrome fan by any stretch of the imagination, but you need a bit to bring the bling out in the bike, perhaps blacken the light housings, but the forks I would leave alone.....but each to their own.
Yours looks really good.
Quote from: Darth Wraith on October 17, 2013, 05:41:55 AMYou are correct, that is a genuine Indian airbox cover. I'll have to go through my records to see if I can find where I got it from and what I had to do to make it fitCan u tell us something about the airbox mod? I see there an Indian airbox cover. What's beneath, I wonder?

Great look! Nice eye for customizing.
I am truly envious of your exhaust.
Too much black?!? No way!!!
Keep going-looks GREAT and will get even better!!
I own an 02 Ebony 800 and I've always been a little jealous of the guys with the '99 and '00 with the blacked front end... I've never been a big fan of the chrome on my 02 so a winter project for me is going to be painting the front end gloss black and the engine cases a dull metal color.
Anyone done this on an Ebony Drifter? I'm worried this might be too much black.
