I suppose that's all relative. I do feel that the handling is more neutral with the smaller tire, and the speedo error had to be compensated for. With the 160 tire, the speed was closer to the correct reading, but I had to get a speedo healer when I switched to the stock size tire. I absolutely HATE an instrument that reads incorrectly. I would rather it didn't work at all than lie to me....
Did it make any difference?
That's the size I had on mine when I bought it. I replaced it with another 160/80-16 Metzeler Me 880, ran that for another 15,000 miles and put on the correct size Michelin Commander II a little over 10,000 miles ago...
Another question is it safe if I use a 160 80 16 tire in the rear if the original size is 150 80 16?
Jack the bike up so the rear wheel is just off the floor. Remove the rear fender...6 bolts, one phillips screw and a wiring connector. Wait, here, look at this: http://www.gadgetjq.com/drifter_rear_tire_remove.htm
Is it hard to remove the rear wheel? I have to change my tire but I don't know how...
