we will out shine them for sure....lol.....
Quote from: CDNRatMan on August 19, 2013, 14:44:33 PMWell, I barely sleep anyway. So I might as well be watching the bikes.now that you made that public knowledge you think people are going to let you sleep.......lol......
Not sure about bringing the suede jacket and glue-on mustache though.
Thank you. The dvd is almost done. I have been editing and it's going to have to be a dual layer dvd to get it all in....I had over 6 hours of raw video files to work on
Just sat down and watched the rest. My wife says she's glad she didn't go, would've scared her to death. This from a woman who has jumped out of airplanes. Great video!
So, Bryan, you're going to make it, after all great! Did you look at the video I sent you?
+1 on Troll's observations. Didn't know a soul (other than from posts on this forum) and I was taken in from the moment my kickstand touched the parking lot. Good folks that you'll be glad to ride with. If you're on the fence because you don't know anybody...just go.
I'm going to have a shortened stay at the DI next year (probably Fri & Sat only thanks to the career), but I will start counting down the days (probably in January). Wouldn't miss it.

I know I didn't really know what to expect when I went this year, and I also know that you guys don't either. The location is in a mountain riding area, only about 70 miles from the Dragon. WolfChief is the host, and he promised it would be "KICK-ASS", so I have a pretty good idea what he meant, after attending this year. These people are not like the typical "bikers" you find at the harley-centric gatherings or even Sturgis...They are all about the ride. We left at 08:00 and didn't get back 'till around 16:00 each day...Meals were all planned and brilliantly executed....so if you want to ride after you ride there, and eat....
, then this group is just what you need. I had a blast. The last time I had this much fun at a "rally" was in Wyoming, in 1988...I rode 500 miles with the group, over 3 days...so I would suspect this is a pretty good indicator of what to expect....
now that you made that public knowledge you think people are going to let you sleep.......lol......

We will just have D1 doing sentry duty all night for us.
Besides, I'm a light sleeper. So I thought I'd pick the quiet side, if there is such a thing there.
QuoteWhy?I'm thinking of getting a parking lot side room. I might bring a video camera and have it trained on the parking lot all night.

Okay. I'm thinking of getting a parking lot side room. I might bring a video camera and have it trained on the parking lot all night.
I have to wait to get through some bills (a refi), then I can make my reservation, but I AM making it to the 2014 Drift-In. Not willing to let work get in the way this time around.
never to proud ....

DC I told the very polite person (female) that I was not picky about the room as long as the A/C worked and it was cold at night, had a working fridge, an a TV, because I can sleep most anyplace once I am tired. Told her just to put me someplace and I would be most happy.
