I think it's one of the tapped holes that would normally hold the left side chrome cover that the classics and Nomads have. There are 4 of them. The cover you do have occupies 2 of them, and the last one is down near the footboard.

So I'm wondering if I'm missing a screw on this side of the motorycle. Big shot below, closeup even lower.

Should I plug this hole?
