I went to a family reunion on my Dad's side today.  Big family, had about 100 people there today.  Found out my first cousin is now into collecting these...   Could this be the predecessor to the Can AM Spider??  Probably not.

Thought someone might find these interesting, though.  These are called the  Free-Way, made by HM Vehicles in Minnesota, from 79-82.  I guess they made somewhere in the mid-high 600's of these.  They were made to combat the energy crisis when gasoline went up in the late 70s.

My cousin and his wife bought the red one from her dad, the original owner.  Then they found the yellow one and went out to Wisconsin to get it a week or two ago.

Kind of neat, but I think I'll  stick with my drifter.
