i was wondering ,because when my wife bought her 99 nomad the owner gave me a few filters with the bike. would be great to use them on both motorcycles. BTW they are factory filter if that makes a difference

Yes, depending upon the filter manufacturer... K&N filter KN-204 is the same for both the 800 and the 1500.
