;) thanks all and I have been mulling this over since I bought the bike, it is just one of them things that it is nice to listen to others, and yes opinons are like armpits or the other thing we all have and they all can stink, but also sometimes it is nice to pause and listen to others, because some people have smart ideas and some people are respected and thier opinions mean a lot to others......wow that came from me..... :-\

Black edge...

You know what they say.......Opinions are like armpits, and some of them stink!

Personally, I like the blacked out edge.  I've always thought that an edge on a tank looks "unfinished", or maybe like "standard equipment", whereas a finished edge, be it rounded off as in the case of the 1500's, or even a simple blackout paint job on the edge looks more "clean", or even "custom".

In the end though, it's your ride.

It may help you to decide if you take a large pic of your whole bike, then save it and make a second copy and spend some time in Microsoft Paint, or some similar program, and look at the change as a whole, instead of just looking at a portion of the bike.  It's hard to gauge the overall effect that way.

There's one of my armpits!

RatMan,
Personally I like the black edge, It lends to the transition to other blacked out areas on the bike and softens the edge of the bottom of the tank. There's a similar black edging on the air cover as well if I'm not mistaken which in a subtle way would mirror it... However if I've learned anything here on the site it's... If you like it that's all that matters brother.

looking for some honest opinions, I am wonder if I should finsih off the tank , I am not sure if I like the finished look with a black edging or to just leave it.....not a big deal not expensive nor hard to do, even I with my limited skills set can do it alone....but what do you think
