I went and got her and her cat yesterday and brought them to my place (farther inland, but still in the hurricane's path) where she'll be safe. I think it's been downgraded to tropical storm. We're getting the brunt of the winds right now. Gusts up to 70-80. Feels like the doors are going to be ripped off the hinges. The wind is so strong, it'c compressing the weather stripping aound the doors and I'm hearing all this hissing where it's forcing it's way in.. . . Power has glitched off and back on a few times. Most likely, power will go completely out overnight.

- October 29, 2012, 16:04:52 PMI'm an ex-New Orleans resident and have been through several hurricanes. All my prayers go out to all you folks on the East coast. I pray this will no where near as bad as what they've predicted.
Don't be stupid... LEAVE if you've been instructed to do so. A few hours or a couple of days is a small sacrifice.
