Quote from: Texasdrifter on May 16, 2018, 21:56:48 PMI'm just curious about your local laws because here in Washington state unless the vehicle actually predates 1973 it has to have turn signals and our state patrol guys would know that it's a clone and not an original. If you're lucky they only cite you with a Fix-It ticket. No, Spots are Repop Harley spots with Amber lenses. Turn signals are my arms! No turn Signals in the 40s!
Just an amazing job and absolutely gorgeous. You find your legs being splayed out with the fat bob tanks?
Quote from: Texasdrifter on May 16, 2018, 21:56:48 PMWhen will you be retrofitting drum brakes? No turn Signals in the 40s!
(just messing with you...put down that pistol.)
Mine used to backfire loudly on decal until I fixed the exhaust leak, it sounded like a shotgun blast. One time it happened in a rough neighborhood in Toronto, a couple of teenage boys immediately dropped to the ground.

Quote from: rob f on April 06, 2018, 08:01:29 AMVery nice job Tex.
Your pride in workmanship shines through on that iron horse.
The thing that caught my eye first was the air filter cover. Was that an easy conversion?
The last owner on my bike stripped the center stud that holds the cover on and am looking at replacing the housing.
Was going to go with OEM but now that I"ve seen yours.........well it's got me thinking.

the OEM airbox is removed, I fabbed a sheet metal backer that bolts to the OEM brackets and the 2003 Indian S&S air cleaner bolts to the backer. All the OEM air box and tubing and crap was removed and carb jetted. It backfires a bit on decel but that just adds to the subterfuge.
Quote from: Vulcanpunch on February 26, 2018, 11:23:21 AMYes I would like to know a little bit more about your paint set up.
I have a 3 car garage with a OH door into my shop. I cover the floor and walls with heavy plastic, opened the doors about 30" set a big ass fan on the floor blowing outside and opened the windows in the shop to get flow through. I have a Harbor Freight $10 HVLP gun that I have used the hell out of and I love it because it works with 6cfm @40psig where most need 12cfm requiring a huge compressor.
Quote from: CDNRatMan on February 25, 2018, 21:30:20 PMNot top heavy, tanks were on there when I bought it. PO welded studs to the frame to mount the tanks. I believe they are off a Fat Boy.Well done, and like the tanks, what size are they, and in total? Did it make the bike top heavy? The dash is really cool also.

If it's the latter, the simplest way is to open the image in MS Paint, click on the Image tab then click on Resize then click Save.
That's what I use - I usually change it to 30-40%, depending on what I want to do - that makes them about 300-600KB

Quote from: Texasdrifter on February 25, 2018, 20:46:56 PMLooks awesome! Are the spots used as signal lights?Major mods, Harley fat boy tanks, Harley headlight nacelle, Pahead buddy seat, Harley 45 dash with relocated ignition switch, vintage spot lights, Barron's nostalgia bars with internal throttle and wiring, vintage style switches. Panhead repop horn, S&S intake with 2003 Indian cover. Custom two tone paint and pin stripping. All work and paint done in my home shop.
Now if it ever stops raining here I can get some saddle time in!
I use photoshop but also if you right click on a picture it will give you the option to send to mail recipient, this will downsize your pictures also.
I use a program that came with my camera and it is really simple, what are you using to take the pictures? You can also use photobucket to post your pictures to and resize them there...
