Top 5 Things We Like About Riding KTM's 2024 390 Duke

Fresh from KTM for the 2024 model year is its 390 Duke naked bike (learn more in the 2024 KTM 390 Duke Review From Duke Fest With Videos article). Designed as an affordable and feature-rich lightweight streetbike, the new model has come a long way from the first model (with its basic features and questionable build quality) originally released in North America for the 2015 model year. Here are the top five things we like about riding it on the roads of the US territory of Puerto Rico during the 2024 Duke Fest event.

  1. Of course, it is the styling. This motorcycle looks crazy sharp and it's certain to turn heads.
  2. This upgraded 398cc single-cylinder engine. Oh boy, this engine vibrates, but it delivers pleasing acceleration when revved—and it loves to rev!
  3. This motorcycle has a sophisticated electronics suite. We have adjustable power modes. We have traction control, ABS, and electronic quickshifter.
  4. Adjustable damping suspension with the fork and the shock. It's really nice to be able to set up the suspension to your liking.
  5. The bold and beautiful color TFT dash. It looks sharp, it's easy to read, and it's Bluetooth compatible with your smartphone.
