Great apologies for the radio silence all these months.

So yes, all went as planned, the new radiator cap did the trick, and my 2003 baby has never run so well!!
Sadly, never got to make the ride up to NY.
Had to fly up to NY for some medical things, and by the time that was all done? Lockdown....
Going to take a trip from South FL to the west coast in early fall.  That should make up for it!
Thanks for everything....

Thank you so very much!

Mechanic ordered the part, and will install it.
I have full trust in him...
Changing fluids, ironing out a couple of niggles, and then it's time for a road trip FL -NY -NY with many stops along the way....

Give us an update when you get this done. Cheers.

Looks like the cap is available by itself as part no.  49085-1067, for about $43.

Check for leaks in the system.  Could be a leak, could be the cap.

Hey there -
So my mechanic feels there is an issue with the radiator cap on my 2003 1500.
When running, all seems well with radiator pump, fan, etc...
Coolant starts to fill the overfill reservoir and no overheating-
Once the engine is turned off, the overflow dissipates and when cool, leaves little to nothing in the overflow reservoir.
Has anyone seen this before?
We were going to change the cap, but it doesn't seem to be sold by itself. Just this part no. which is $125.00+
This is the radiator cap and housing assembly part number 14075-1068.
So - I ask you my fine friends;  has anyone seen this before, and would anyone know where to find a radiator cap??

As always - thanks in advance...

Phillip
