I did some reading on this the other day and I believe I had read something about having to move the rear fender for clearance and some other issues.  The guy was able to do it, but he had to do quite a bit to get it to work.  Once done he was very happy with the result.  Unfortunately I cannot recall WHERE I read it.  I'm a member of the Facebook Drifter group as well so I imagine it was there or here.

Hope that helps a bit, it is NOT a bolt on fit from what I read.

I have a 99-1500 Drifter and am looking at dual ex. from a 1600 nomad. will someone let me know if they are interchangeable without drastic changes? I have read about the classic and 1500s Thanks for the info before they are sold.
