I don't use a chain breaker. I use an electric die grinder....zip, and it's done

Recovering H-D owner...W-650 Cafe' No excuses...Ride it or sell it to someone who will!

i too have low expectations of HF -- there are some places where "it don't matter" .. and i thought cast steel chain breaker would be an easy one for them .. not so much

Yeah my experience with Harbor Freight stuff is it's pretty much a gamble. Some of the stuff holds up okay and a lot of it just, well craps out just like your chain breaker. But of course they'll let you bring it in and get another one off the shelf which might do the same thing >:(

I'm used to think that a cheap price = cheap stuff...
Send it back to the seller and ask for a refund.

broke on first use -- seat side of the arm cracked and broke at FIRST pressure to break rivet .. holding in my hands, not anything odd
