Fender Crack Repair

I purchased a front fender that has some cracks in it. I got an epoxy form O'Reilly Auto Parts. It was in a syringe that mixed the 2 parts as you applied it. WORKED beyond my expectations!!! cost was like 6.90 per tube. I'll try to remember to stop and get a tube. I'm repairing another front fender to have as a back up.

You might also check a local body shop you trust.  I know they have some great commercial stuff they use for plastic bumper covers on cars - don't know if it would work on the fender.  It might be far superior to a over-the-counter epoxy you might get at the local parts store.

Awhile back on one of the forums there was a discussion about repairing fender holes with epoxy. It would be the same type of repair. Check the forums , I know it was on there.

I have no experience with repairing these fenders, but I know they have been repaired. I know some folks have used the epoxy type repair kits. You might look for a repair company in your area as well. I will see if I can find any info on this for you.

I had something kick up under my front fender and it caused a crack about an 1 1/2" long along the lower back side. Has anybody had good results with the epoxy type kits or any other method? The crack is clean with no gaps and thinking I may need to drill small holes at the crack ends to prevent the crack from growing.
