Could be a weak clutch spring... have a look at the following... while you are in there measure the plates to ensure they are still within spec.

I've got a 99 1500 Drifter and I have some high end  slippage going on around 50-60 MPH...my question is can the clutch be adjusted or should it be replaced ...how hard is it to replace .     Thanks  Rick
