drifter 800, what bigger engines can fit?

You can probably make anything fit, just depends on how much money and time you want to waste. As far as a direct replacement, you're limited, but fabrication of necessary parts calls for cubic money.

even with modifications the biggest i could go is the 900? what about other engines such as ones from indian or harley?

No, it won't fit. A 900 Vulcan might, though.

i have a 2002 drifter with 800 cc vulcan engine, have aftermarket pipes, hypercharger air cleaner, thinking of porting a jetting carbs, but found out i cant source parts to bore or stroke, so was told to just look into swapping for a bigger engine, so the question is can it fit the vulcan 1500 engine? i dont care if its carbed or FI (kinda like carbs tbh) but just need to know what will fit the frame
