Nearly ALL motorcycle tires are tubeless now-a-days (excepting a few off road, etc.).  Our Drifters came from the factory with tubeless tires and tubes. The tube being necessary because of our spoke wheels.

So, the answer is YES, absolutely safe to use tubeless with tubes.
