Accessory connector: Switched Power?

This is how I used to have mine wired Bucko...the spots and fender light using the running lights feed.

Long story short I lost my tail light and speedo light because of an issue with the wiring on the spots (at dusk of course). Took me a while to sort it out. After finding the issue (bare wire shorting to ground) I rewired the spots and fender light to the acc circuit.

I used a 4pin relay and a toggle switch for the spots and did the same for the fender light. The acc circuit is solely used to power the spots and fender light. It is switched through the relay by a keyed wire.

Using the toggle switches I can turn either light on or off while driving, since it's keyed through the relay they turn on and off with the bike as well.

My memory was jogged when I checked in the headlight nacelle this morning and found a couple relays lol...memory is good but short.

Thanks for the replies guys.  Just re-discovered myself that the accessory plug is not switched.

The reason I had asked is because I bought some replacement H3 spot-lamps (just the lamps) for my 99.  They're exactly the same ones I have in my 01, but unlike the spots in my 01, which are single wire (i.e. no ground) the new ones are two wire (power and ground).  I was thinking of rewiring them to the accessory plug (they're currently tapping power off the running lights), then I realized the reason I didn't do that on the 01 was because power to the accessory plug is not switched.  I just ended up running a wire to a terminal ring I installed on the bolt that fastens the lamp housing to the light bar. - kind of Mickey mouse - I'll fix it properly later when I have more time.

I've got my fender Indian headdress light wired to the headlight connectors, too.
And that's not switched, as Troll already said.
The headdress light comes on as I turn on the ignition key, and shuts down once I turn off the key.

My apologies gents.   I went and physically checked the bike and the acc circuit is not switched. It is on all the time.
I thought I was losing my mind. I rechecked how my fender light is connected...It's attached to a relay.

according to the wiring diagram and my 1500, it's not switched, it's constant B+/gnd.

I have my fender light connected to that circuit.
The accessory connector in the headlight shell, and connector under the seat are both on the acc 10a fuse circuit. That circuit is keyed.

Does anyone happen to know if power to the accessory connector in the headlight shell is switched by the ignition switch or is power on all the time?
